As printing technology advances beyond the realm of traditional methods of printing Bovie Screen Process Printing Co., Inc. continues to remain on the cutting edge of digital printing and forming capabilities. We have a number of printers and cutters at the ready for all of your digital imaging needs. For everything from wide format signage to short run prototype labels, our state of the art equipment will deliver an outstanding product every time. Take a look at some of our newer equipment:

Roland SolJet ProII EX SC-540

The Roland SolJet ProII EX SC-540 is one of the industry’s most flexible printers available today. This printer is a 54” wide format printer that prints in four or six color process using Eco-Sol Max inks. The environmentally safe Eco-Sol Max inks have been combined with the traditional Roland print quality resulting in images of astounding photo-realistic clarity. In addition to its printing capabilities the SolJet Pro II EX SC-540 also functions as a wide format digital cutter. Using an optical registration mechanism in combination with a swivel knife system, the SolJet is able to accurately and rapidly produce pre-cut lettering as well as contour cut signage and decals.

Gerber Edge SR 1500 & Gerber HS15 Plotter

The Gerber Edge SR 1500 is a 15” wide thermal transfer printer that uses foils to generate deep, crisp images. This machine is excellent for printing large “blocks” of spot colors on many substrates including polyester, vinyl, and velvet/gloss polycarbonate. Along with its excellent imaging capability, our Gerber SR 1500 printer has been paired with a Gerber HS15 Plotter, enabling us to print and cut your parts in one pass. This is a great machine for producing low run and prototype decals as well as cut vinyl lettering.

Allen Datagraph iTech Smartmark iThirty Series Plotter

The iTech Plotter is a machine engineered and designed specifically for precise digital cutting. With a 30” cutting path, cut vinyl lettering is its specialty, yet this machine can cut many different materials up to .010” thick with great accuracy. For the cleanest cut possible, this machine is equipped with German Carbide blades recommended and manufactured by Allen Datagraph Blade Technology. For low quantity runs that require precise cutting, this is our machine of choice.

Allen Datagraph DFS (Digital Finishing System)

The DFS is a great machine for high quantity cutting and finishing runs. Because this machine runs roll to roll it is able to offer the ability to cut, laminate and weed waste material in one pass which speeds up the production process considerably. The DFS has a 16” cutting path and can cut a number of different materials up to .010” thick. The DFS uses the same German Carbide knife system, and is engineered and designed to the same high standards, as the Allen Datagraph iTech Plotter.

Automation Alternatives Carbon Dioxide Laser Cutter

This versatile machine uses a carbon dioxide laser and a series of mirrors and lenses to generate a beam capable of cutting a large variety of plastic materials. The beam is output at one hundred watts, allowing us to cut a vast array of substrates ranging from thin gauge prototype membrane switch circuitry to thick acrylic panels. Small parts with intricate cutting patterns and tight tolerances are ideal for this machine, as are thick plastic panels and signs up to 24” x 24” square.

Mimaki JF 1610 Series

The Mimaki JF 1610 series has a maximum resolution of up to 1200x1200 dpi.
Accommodating media up to 2-in. thick, the JF 1610 boasts a top speed of 200 sq ft/hr at 600-dpi resolution.

The 1610 has expanded capabilities for rigid media. It accommodates a variety of uncoated, such as corrugated plastic. PVC, acrylic, and uneven or irregular materials, less than 1.96” thick. The effective printing area is 60”wide X 40” long.
