Qual-Cover© Graphic overlays are rugged decals used to brand many types of machines, appliances and heavy equipment. They offer a distinct aesthetic appeal yet remain highly resistant to damage as they typically consist of rigid polycarbonate or polyester that is screen printed on the second surface. Printing second surface protects the printed image from damage because the ink lies under the substrate itself. For a typical graphic overlay there is anywhere between .005” and .030” of substrate between the top surface of the label and the printed image.

Polycarbonate and polyester substrates are available in a variety of finish textures, and thicknesses and also available with scratch resistant hard coating on their top surfaces for even more durability when subjected to the toughest environments. We can also apply ink to the top surface of an overlay, such as selective texturing or clear coating, for added aesthetic appeal.

After printing, adhesive is applied to the back of an overlay according to your specifications. We keep a number of different laminating adhesives on hand, each suited for particular environments and applications. Adhesive can also be die cut with a steel rule die prior to application if your project requires certain parts of the overlay (i.e. display windows or buttons) to remain free of adhesive.

Once the adhesive is applied to the printed substrate the part is die cut to its finished size using a steel rule die. Additionally, any overlay can be rail embossed or pillow embossed if your project requires raised buttons or a more tactile surface.

We have the equipment and expertise necessary to create the best graphic overlays in the business. With our state of the art color matching capabilities and full service art department we are certain we can manufacture the best overlays for your product.
